Nokia and the Mobile Learning Institute
Nokia, a world leader in mobile communications, and the Pearson Foundation sponsor the Mobile Learning Institute, which delivers engaging, personalized, project-based learning right to the classrooms and community centers across the United States. By sharing the latest mobile technologies in classrooms across the United States, the Mobile Learning Institute helps teachers and students develop the 21st-century skills they need to design, develop, and complete the collaborative digital arts projects that will shape their future.
In addition to hosting Mobile Learning Institute Student and Educator Residencies, Nokia and the Pearson Foundation also sponsor the Mobile Learning Institute Leadership Network, a nation-wide professional development effort that helps teachers develop skills and strategies to integrate digital and mobile technologies into their classroom practice.
Together with ISTE and Digital Arts Alliance members including Pearson Education, Peachpit, and the Pearson Foundation, Nokia also sponsors the Digital Arts Alliance Leadership Institute, a professional development program that recognizes and supports education teams introducing innovative digital arts projects across the United States.
